On Monday this week, we walked around school, anouncing that there will be a coat drive on Thursday and to bring in old, but clean, coats and jackets. The coats and jackets would go to many charities and some might go to a Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

This is an awesome idea that helps many. In the state of Maine, we do an annual "Coats for Kids" drive where people drop off their new and used coats at area supermarkets who sponsor the event. The coats are then cleaned and distrubuted by the Salvage Army. Students and groups work behind the scenes collecting these items for the annual event and it is a huge success. Kuddos to you for taking part.
